These terms govern your use of Refera. Contact [email protected] with questions. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Keep your login details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Email accounts must be confirmed before account features become available.

Submitting work

Upload only work you own or have permission to distribute. You must have the right to share the paper and any personal data it contains. Do not upload plagiarism, unlawful content, malware, or material that violates another person's rights. You keep ownership of your work. You grant Refera a non-exclusive licence to store, review, display, and make approved work available for reading through the service. We may reject or remove work after review, including for rights, privacy, or quality concerns. Submission does not guarantee publication.

Reading and referencing

Readers may use approved papers for lawful research and study. Refera's reference button records an in-app reference; it does not verify that a citation appears in another academic work. You remain responsible for proper academic citation and for following each author's rights. Do not create false references, manipulate credits, or use multiple accounts to abuse the service.

Credits and withdrawals

The current credit rate, conversion, and withdrawal minimum appear in the app before you request a withdrawal. Credits are recorded when an eligible reference is logged. Refera may review or reverse credits caused by abuse, error, or invalid activity. Withdrawal requests are reviewed manually. A request is not a promise of immediate payment; settlement depends on verification, available funds, and applicable law. Refera will not mark a request paid until a transfer has been made. Contact us if a balance or payment looks wrong.

Availability and changes

We may change or suspend features for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. We may restrict accounts or remove content that breaches these terms, and you may contact us to contest a decision.

Liability and law

Refera does not guarantee the accuracy, originality, academic acceptance, or uninterrupted availability of user-submitted work. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Nigerian law governs these terms. Contact us first to try to resolve a dispute.
